Litigation Associate

About the role

MHS is seeking an attorney to work in its New York City office who will focus on litigating both product liability and employment cases in courts throughout the country. This attorney will help defend burn/fire cases, subrogation matters, toxic exposure matters, as well as single plaintiff employment lawsuits. The role involves working directly with clients on strategy decisions and representing them at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.

Responsibilities

• Litigate product liability and employment cases nationwide
• Defend burn/fire cases, subrogation matters, and toxic exposure matters
• Handle single plaintiff employment lawsuits
• Collaborate with clients on strategy decisions
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials

Requirements

• JD degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Active New York Bar admission (additional admissions helpful)
• 5-7+ years of litigation experience with a background in products liability and/or toxic torts
• Trial experience is strongly preferred
• Employment discrimination experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to travel

Pay

Salary Range: $180,000–$220,000 depending on experience.
