Litigation Associate

The firm is known for its experienced trial lawyers and collaborative approach to client service. Germer PLLC seeks a Litigation Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join its Beaumont office. The Associate will assist with and, as experience allows, handle an active docket of matters, primarily supporting insurance defense while gaining exposure to the firm’s broader civil litigation practice. Flexible work arrangements will be determined based on the candidate's experience, practice needs, and office alignment, with some remote work possible for candidates residing in the surrounding area.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Prepare client reports and case evaluations
- Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations if necessary
- Assist with case strategy and file management
- Support trial preparation and participate in trial as appropriate
- Manage deadlines across multiple active matters
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Texas
- Minimum 2 years of litigation experience preferred
- Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
