Litigation Associate

The firm is known for experienced trial lawyers and a collaborative approach. Germer PLLC seeks a Litigation Associate with 2–5 years of experience for its Houston office. The Associate will assist with and, as experience allows, handle an active docket primarily supporting insurance defense and personal injury defense matters, while gaining exposure to the broader civil litigation practice. Flexible work arrangements will be determined based on candidate experience, practice needs, and office alignment.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Prepare client reports and case evaluations
- Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations if necessary
- Assist with case strategy and file management
- Support trial preparation and participate in trial as appropriate
- Manage deadlines across multiple active matters
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Texas
- 2 to 5 years of litigation experience
- Strong interest in civil litigation and courtroom practice
- Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment
