Litigation Associate

About the role

The Orlando office of Dean Mead is seeking a Commercial Litigation/Bankruptcy Associate with 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, or insurance defense to join our growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Work on sophisticated and varied civil litigation and bankruptcy matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Participate in all phases of the litigation process, including pre-litigation counseling, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
• Support bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, including drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with shareholders and other attorneys to handle complex cases involving construction, trusts and estates, employment, real estate, business disputes, intellectual property, non-compete matters, and other related litigation issues.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of legal issues.
• Contribute to the development and growth of the bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in Florida.
• A strong academic record.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, or insurance defense.
• Prior experience in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, or a demonstrated interest in developing that practice.
• Strong academic record.
