Litigation Assistant - Personal Injury Law
Daily Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal correspondence, discovery shells, client communications, and basic pleadings.
- Organize and maintain case files, track discovery, and manage records from medical providers and third parties.
- Maintain litigation calendars, including court deadlines, depositions, hearings, and client appointments.
- Cook up communications with clients, medical providers, lienholders, insurance adjusters, process servers, and opposing counsel.
- Aid with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness files, trial binders, and related materials.
- Support court filings, service of process, and other litigation-related tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of personal injury litigation experience in a law firm setting.
- Minimum 2 years of litigation support experience.
- Experience with discovery, calendaring litigation deadlines, and trial preparation strongly preferred.
- Strong drafting, written communication, and legal support skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
