Litigation and Financial Services Attorney

About the Role

QPWB is seeking an experienced attorney to join our growing Georgia practice. This unique role offers a blend of civil defense litigation (70%) and financial services representation (30%), including creditor rights and default servicing work. The position provides the opportunity to handle a diverse and sophisticated caseload while working with national and regional clients.

Responsibilities

• Defense Litigation
  • Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Draft and argue motions, conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Provide strategic case analysis and reporting to clients.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Financial Services / Creditor Rights
  • Handle residential and commercial foreclosure matters.
  • Manage bankruptcy-related proceedings, including motions for relief from stay and contested matters.
  • Represent lenders, servicers, and financial institutions in evictions, replevin actions, and creditor rights disputes.
  • Review loan documents, title issues, and compliance matters.
  • Appear in court on contested and uncontested financial services matters.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Georgia Bar.
• 3+ years of litigation experience required.
• Experience with financial services, foreclosure, bankruptcy, creditor rights, eviction, or replevin matters strongly preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Deposition and courtroom experience preferred.
• Ability to independently manage a busy caseload while maintaining excellent client service.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
