About the role
We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our dynamic team at Cesar Ornelas Law. Our firm specializes in personal injury cases and we are looking for a paralegal who shares our passion and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough case investigations and research
- Assisting attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Organizing and managing case files and documents
- Cooking with clients, witnesses, and experts
- Preparing for trials and hearings, including drafting trial exhibits and witness lists
- Providing administrative support to attorneys as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on personal injury law
- Strong knowledge of personal injury laws and legal procedures
- Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to successfully and patiently multitask and tend to frequent interruptions
- Strong attention to detail with knowledge on e-File, litigation procedures, and laws or rules in multiple jurisdictions
- Exceptional knowledge and application of legal software, database expertise and Office Suite
- Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification (preferred)
Qualifications
- Education Requirements: High School Diploma, Associates Degree, or Undergraduate Degree (Preferred Paralegal Certification)
Bilingual
(Bilingual (English and Spanish) not required, but helpful and should be stated on resume)
