Liquid Cooling Data Center Principal Engineer

This role is based in the Chemours™ Discovery Hub, a state-of-the-art 320,000 sq.ft. world-class R&D/Application Development research facility located in Newark, DE. In Thermal & Specialty Solutions, we harness next-generation, low-Global Warming Potential (GWP) technology to provide market-driven innovations in refrigerants, propellants, fire protection, foam blowing agents, and heat transfer fluids for thermal management.
This highly visible, key role will support R&D programs within the Liquid Cooling Product Development team, reporting to the Product Growth Manager, with a specific focus on two-phase cooling applications, including immersion cooling and direct-for-chip for data center applications and other thermal management applications. While software programming skills are valuable, this is not a programming position.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects and activities related to two-phase liquid cooling in data centers and other applications to meet strategic growth objectives.
- Design and lead execution of experiments in a lab environment and field trials for data center cooling.
- Develop, collaborate, and maintain good relationships with value chain partners, end-users, academia/universities, national labs, and industry organizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization, customers, and partners.
- Demonstrate knowledge or the desire to learn fluorochemical science and related application technologies.
- Travel 10-25% of the time to customers and partners.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical, Computer, or Electrical Engineering or Material Science with at least 5 years (10+ years preferred) of relevant work experience in data center cooling technologies, preferably liquid cooling technologies.
- Demonstrated understanding of data center operations and liquid cooling for data centers.
- Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to work well with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a high degree of initiative, independence, and self-motivation, with flexibility to monitor and move projects forward quickly and safely.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $141,120.00 - $220,500.00 (Chemours Level 28) with an annual bonus target of 16%. The pay range and incentives are based on the primary location of this job and are not a guarantee of total compensation. Factors considered include responsibilities, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data. Incentive pay depends on business results and individual performance.
