Linux/Windows System Administrator (TS/SCI w/ Poly)

About the role

Parsons is looking for a talented and fully cleared Systems Administrator to join our growing team! This role is supporting a highly sought-after mission in the development and engineering community, supporting a team of cybersecurity engineers and analysts as a one-stop-shop for Linux systems administration.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Linux systems. Experience with Windows to support Microsoft PowerBI is also very helpful.
• Create, support, and manage virtual machines.
• Manage all IAVA patches ensuring multiple SSPs remain STE/STN compliant. Work in close coordination with ISSO.
• Manage installation and configuration of software environments.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Perform Data Transfer Agent (DTA) responsibilities, including reviewing, validating, documenting, and executing authorized data transfers between systems and security domains at varying classification levels.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Poly
• 10+ years of experience, with additional education able to count in lieu of a degree. Additional flexibility pending Customer approval.
• Bachelor's degree, with additional relevant SA experience able to count in lieu of a degree.
• Must have background supporting both Linux and Windows OS.
• Experience with software installation and configuration.
• Understanding of applying patches to systems and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs.

Desired skills

• Security+ Certification (SEC+)
• Experience with AWS and cloud environments
• Scripting experience (Python) is a plus

Pay

$148,300.00 - $266,900.00
