2nd shift Afternoon shift 1:30pm- 10:30pm, Annual Salary range $77k-$82k. Position Summary: The individual at the position of Production Line Supervisor is responsible for the effective daily management of one or more Production lines. The overall objective is to effectively execute the Production Schedule and communicate corrective actions when deviations exist to the Plant Manager or Production Manager. Utilizes tools available to objectively compare actual results to standards (R2’s).Responsible for production of clean and safe food and ensuring compliance by all personnel with all requirements to FSMA regulations Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate active leadership and personal accountability in the continuous improvement process of Sokol. This includes the communication to all staff members the Sokol and Company continuous improvement results objectives. Develop and deliver fully installed method changes annually that improve safety, food safety, customer service, and cost. Complete annually professional training to enhance delivery of Sokol & Company continuous improvement results. Job Responsibilities: Position has the authority and responsibility to source, hire, train, discipline and provide annual and mid- year performance review of Direct reports.Establishment and monitoring of measurable/attainable goals for Direct reports.Coordinate daily labor needs with temporary personnel agencies.Communicate effectively with all staffDelivers on-hand training to all personnelEnsures training of Preventive Control Individuals (PCI)Direct supervision of various Production Lines:Create daily/weekly plans with which to have personnel and equipment Set-up and in proper working condition to complete the Production schedule.Communicate with Planning as to attainment or variances to the schedule.Implement and Monitor Project AIM initiatives to ensure Active Management and other criteria for Effective Line Management.Ensure Direct reports have been trained and understand various SOP’s(Standard Operating Procedures) and enforcement of those SOP’s.Responsible to recognize risks for Food Safety and prevent or mitigate contamination, cross-contact or any other Food Safety and Quality associated risksResponsible to lead investigation, analyze, find root cause, and determine corrective actions with implementation and follow up for verification.Inventory Control: Process Manufacturing Orders (MO’s) timely.Provide/direct Cycle counts to Supply Chain as well as other inventory related tasks as needed.New Business/R&D/Capital Projects/ Budget attainment: Support new initiatives via Line trials, work with Contractors, Internet search and Vendor follow-up, Support other Production Line Supervisors, Internal Customers as needed, and support Maintenance as neededAccountable for maintaining various expenses such as: Overtime, consumable goods, etc.Assists during auditing: Customer, Third party, Self- Inspections, etc.Participate in audits as requested, provide timely documented response to Action Plan items.Maintain the work area of responsibility to acceptable level of: CGMP/PREVENTIVE CONTROLS/HACCP/OSHA/SQF/ etc. standards.Support Food Safety Defense Initiatives.Provide written sign-off on Maintenance Work Orders: Scheduled and Emergency repair, which take place in Production to ensure proper sanitation standards are maintained.Personnel Safety Initiatives:Adhere to all Federal/State/Local and Sokol & Co. requirements to ensure personal safety as well as the safety of co-workers and Site: equipment and premises.Participation in Safety meetings and demonstrations. Examples are but not limited to:Lock/Out-Tag/Out, Proper Machine Guarding, Hot Works, and Safe Electrical Practices,Proper lifting technique, and Awareness of site High pressure steam and heat exposure.Identify and ensure direct reports are utilizing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : Gloves, safety, Glasses, ear plugs,Responsible for the immediate Notification and documentation of Near Hit including injuries.Participation or directing Incident Reviews to eliminate future recurrences.Monitor work area for general safety concerns as a routine/daily practice.Create or assist in data collection, etc. to create Safety SOP’s and provide subsequent training Education/Experience High School or equivalent formal education3 -5 years Supervisor or lead experienceBachelor of Science (Business Administration) supersedes practical ExperienceAbility to delegate effectively/Team building skillsLean/Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement trainingPreventive Control Qualified Individual/PCQICompetent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and HACCP.Must be able to communicate in English Skills: Safety AwarenessComputer literacySound analytical thinking.Objective (documented) evaluation of Personnel observationsFlexibility, willingness, time urgencyMechanical Know- how.Effective communicator: to staff, Inter-departmental Supervisors/staff, and Contractors.Good organizational skills and time managementAttention to detailsMust make use of a daily plannerCertified Forklift driver
