Line Lead - Rack
About the role
In a team environment, provide direction to a designated team while providing a safe operation. Communicate any issues involving quality, production or safety to the Production Lead or Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work area for the team.
- Report all near miss, first aid, injuries, etc.
- Responsible for the quality of work produced by his/her line.
- Follow up with internal customer to ensure satisfaction.
- Accountable for the productivity coming off the line.
- Right the first time… we go faster by going slower.
- A working leader that can perform all the tasks asked of his or her team.
- Expected to role model behaviors according to the handbook.
- Able to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the shift.
- Able to be on time going/ returning from breaks and lunch.
- Model the behaviors we want!
- Spends 80% of the workday, coaching, inspecting, verifying material, managing the pace of the line, making adjustments, and celebrating the wins.
- The remaining 20% of the workday should be spent on the line welding and grinding along with the team.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Work Experience: 3-5 years Manufacturing Experience
- Leadership positions (preferred)

- Must have the ability to follow instructions.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
