About the role

Crystal Mountain Resort's Food & Beverage team is seeking a Cook to join our culinary operations. This entry-level position is responsible for back-of-house operations within a specific outlet, working to provide the best possible guest experience. You'll follow recipes, station guidance from chefs, and Standard Operating Procedures while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards. This is an employee housing eligible position.

Responsibilities

• Execute basic knife skills and follow recipes accurately
• Maintain food sanitation, FIFO practices, and proper food storage
• Work collaboratively with kitchen team to deliver high-quality food and beverage products
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of assigned station and kitchen as a whole
• Develop positive public image of your outlet and Crystal Mountain Resort
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and receive training from chefs to develop culinary technique

Requirements

• 1–2 years experience in kitchen operations
• Ability to obtain WA Food Safety Card within 3 days of hiring
• Ability to stand for 8 hours at a time
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and across different venues and locations
• Willingness to learn and develop as a culinary professional
• Some culinary outlets require intermediate skiing/snowboarding ability during winter season

Physical demands and working conditions

• Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while in operation
• Able to lift, carry, or move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis
• Ability to work extended periods bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis
• Ability to work extended periods standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling on an occasional basis
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees

Pay

$21 – $24 per hour

Schedule

This position requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays during resort operations.
