About the role
The Line Cook is responsible for ensuring the highest quality food is served at all times. This role handles all aspects of their assigned cooking station—setup, stocking product, cooking, and presenting dishes according to recipes—while maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Respects all food products and ensures proper storage and rotation in accordance with SOPs, local Health Department, and HACCP regulations.
- Follows specifications, recipes, and execution of all SOPs & recipe guides to ensure flavor, quality, size, and presentation meet venue standards.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times, complying with established sanitation standards and personal hygiene.
- Follows all company policies and procedures, including food safety, security, and safety protocols.
- Understands safe usage and cleanliness of tools and smallwares (e.g., blender, mandoline, knives).
- Demonstrates high organization and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintains a "sense of urgency" for completing responsibilities and tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a contemporary dining restaurant (preferred).
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of eight (8)-hour shifts.
- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry objects as necessary.
- Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors year-round based on business needs.
- Must provide documentation authorizing work in the United States.
- ANSI-approved Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service certificate recognized by the ABC (required).
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a high-end, service-focused environment.
- Responsible for maintaining all required certificates, licenses, or registrations as mandated by local, state, or federal agencies.
