Naples Botanical Garden is a 501(c)3 organization. Position Summary: Responsible for food preparation and execution throughout service in Fogg Café as well as other items. Requirements Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Understanding of food items according to standards and proper preparation and executionUnderstanding of food safety and sanitationUnderstanding of organization and cleanlinessUnderstanding set up and break down dailyMaintain consistent productUnderstand and comply with basic operations as in prep lists, and scheduled cleaning operationsMaintain security and organization of storage areaCommunicate par levels and workloadWillingness to go above and beyond for guess experienceMaintain proper food rotation and proper handling and storageAssistance in organizing and storing incoming deliveries correctlyAll other duties assigned by management Requirements / Qualifications Consistency and quality product produced in accordance with kitchen standards.Amount of work and quality of work produced.Ability to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.Attendance and promptness.Attitude, teamwork, professionalism, and awareness with a sense of urgency.Must be able to work in temperature extremes and noisy environments.Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for up to eight hours.Must be able to lift forty pounds.Must have manual hand and finger dexterity for adept use of kitchen equipment.Must be able to listen attentively and facilitate the communication process.A pre-employment background check required.
