What This Role Will Do
- Organize and prioritize preparation of food items
- Prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Ensure proper size and weight of food portions
- Cook in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Circulate through work area to maintain atmosphere control
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Follow House of Blues safety and sanitation protocols
Job Skills/Knowledge/Productivity
- Valid Health Department Food Handler Certification
- Knowledge of high-volume kitchen operations
- Ability to inspect food spoilage and proper rotation
- Kitchen sanitation and prep work skills
- Expediting knowledge
- Skills in using all kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate presentation
- Proper sanitation knowledge
- Experience in kitchen and restaurant operations
- Attention to detail
Physical Demands/Working Environment
- Extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs.
