About the role
A Line Cook is responsible for ensuring proper service from the front line through quality control, training of line cooks, and maintaining proper sanitation levels. They also monitor the kitchen setup before meal functions, ensure equipment maintenance, and manage food preparation and rotation.
Responsibilities
- Check all items against recipe cards and verify use records.
- Maintain efficiency during meal periods by monitoring equipment and kitchen cleanliness.
- Prepare food consistently according to recipe cards and production standards.
- Manage par levels, prepare food items ahead of time, and ensure proper temperature control.
- Assist in correcting food cost issues and managing food waste.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- One to two years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of cooking practices and kitchen procedures.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs frequently and bend/kneel occasionally.
- Ability to hear equipment timers and communicate effectively.
- Understanding and following verbal and written instructions.

Pay
$24.00 - $26.00 /Hr.
Schedule
Inside 95% of 8 hours. Freezer temperatures can be -10 degrees, and front line temperatures can be over 100 degrees.
