PM Line Cook
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock assigned stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies for service.
- Prepare food items according to recipes and chef specifications, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces.
- Cook and plate menu items accurately, efficiently, and consistently during service.
- Follow instructions from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen leadership team.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served according to Le Colonial's quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas throughout the shift.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Monitor product freshness and remove outdated products according to restaurant guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and notify supervisors of product shortages.
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely execution of service.
- Support closing duties, including station breakdown, cleaning, and preparation for the following day.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, Prep Cook, or similar culinary position required.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, kitchen equipment, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Commitment to impeccable food presentation and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
- Athletic build, able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Food Safety Certification preferred; Food Handler Certification required.
- Asian culinary experience or background preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
