Responsibilities
- Completes opening duties according to restaurant standards.
- Prepares all side items for service.
- Maintains knowledge of equipment maintenance and usage; ensures proper and safe operation.
- Inspects and organizes work areas and stations; resolves deficiencies promptly.
- Notifies the Kitchen Manager of shortages and requests assistance during busy periods.
- Aids other team members in their duties and assists in closing duties.
- Minimizes waste and manages food costs within budget.
- Breaks down workstation and completes closing duties according to standards.
- Maintains sanitation and health regulations; adheres to appearance and uniform standards.
- Complies with all restaurant policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Cannot have a history of violent felony crimes.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through on tasks.
- Calmness and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Ability to meet production schedules and guest food order timeliness.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and sometimes cramped environment.
- Knowledge of all products and ingredients used in the kitchen.
- Ability to ensure quality standards are met through sensory evaluation.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all required kitchen equipment.
