Responsibilities

• Proper food handling and storage
• Preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking
• Accurately and efficiently cooking food
• Reading recipes, portions, guidelines, sanitation, and basic safety instructions in English or Spanish to produce food per Turning Point and Health Department standards
• Learning and working in all kitchen areas, including the three cooking stations, food prep, and dishwashing positions
• Managers lead by example and never ask you to do something they wouldn’t do themselves

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Prior restaurant experience recommended but not required
• Skilled with the cookware needed for the position
• Able to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects
• Ability to work with high‑temperature equipment and in a high‑heat facility
