Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items for dining room service while working efficiently with standardized recipes and presentations.
- Provide excellent service to both guests and team members.
- Avoid food waste and ensure all guests’ special needs are met, including dietary restrictions.
- Estimate food consumption and purchases or requisitions food and kitchen supplies.
- Participate in the provisioning of the island to include loading and unloading of supply vessels, conducting inventories, and properly and safely storing items.
Requirements
- Valid Alaska Food Handler’s Certification, ServSafe Managers certificate preferred.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and preparations standards.
- CPR, First Aid certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Culinary School graduate or previous experience working as a cook in food service operations, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food service operations preferred.
Skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The starting wage for this role is $19.00/hour.
