The Role
Your role as a valued kitchen and Crystal Bees team member is to provide an exceptional culinary experience to our guests through proper preparation, presentation, and timeliness.
Responsibilities
- Delivers an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks, and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun.
- Prepares and sells food that meets all food quality indicators and is prepared to guest expectations.
- Follows all kitchen directives from General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Kitchen Manager.
- Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by recipe and to specification.
- Follows portion guidelines to ensure cost control, while maximizing the guest experience.
- Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately.
- Safely and correctly operates all equipment.
- Uses all chemicals properly in the correct quantities for safety and cost control.
- Cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen mats, floors, walls, and drains.
- Empties kitchen trash and cleans and maintains trash cans.
- Provides fast, unobtrusive, friendly, and attentive service to those that are serving the guest directly.
- Promptly keeps service managers fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. Takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
- Creates a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members.
- Adheres to company's sanitation and safety policies and procedures.
- Dressed in proper dress code requirements, non-slip shoes, looking neat, clean, and professional at all times. All uniforms should be pressed, all team members may have guest contact and need to put forth their best appearance.
- Follows all time clock standards. Punch in / punch out in full uniform.
- Primarily assists in Glass Hat, Dantes Bar, Crystal Bowl areas, including games and billiard areas if asked. VIP when needed.
- Keeps station clean, stocked, and clean as you go.
- Aids in keeping food storage areas clean, organized, and to health department standards.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of all menu items and is able to execute in a consistent and timely manner.
- Performs opening/closing responsibilities, including party set-up and breakdown/duties when assigned to party.
- Assists other team members as needed or as business dictates.
- Participates in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all outside vendors and Crystal Bees team members to foster and promote a cooperative, productive, effective, and harmonious working climate.
Requirements
- Work days, nights and/or weekends as required, including holidays
- Work in noisy, fast-paced environment with plenty of distracting conditions
- Move about venue, standing/walking for 100% of shift
- Repeated bending & stooping while serving guests
- Listen to service team / management needs, communicate clearly with service team / management verbally, non-verbally, and with team members verbally
- Ability to read & write English handwritten notes
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds or over 30 pounds with assistance
Qualifications
- Have a genuine hospitality demeanor, professional culinary appearance, and the ability to smile!
- SERV SAFE certification a plus!
