Major Responsibilities
- Prepare lunch and/or dinner
- Review menus prior to preparation of food
- Assure that all food procedures are followed
- Cookfood service with other departments as necessary
- Cooking food in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
- Become familiar with new menu items/dishes
- Work as part of a team
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of food preparation experience required
- Experience with high volume food preparation preferred
- Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
- Knowledge of cooking burgers and steaks to the correct requested temperature
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
