Line and Event Banquet Cook
Position Overview
This unique role bridges the gap between fast-paced restaurant line cooking and high-volume banquet execution. You will spend your days prepping and cooking for our daily golf restaurant menu, while seamlessly pivoting to prepare upscale, high-volume buffets and plated dinners for our private events, weddings, and golf outings.
Key Responsibilities
- Line Cook:Set up, stock, and execute the daily restaurant grill menu with speed, consistency, and high quality.
- Banquet & Event Prep:Scale recipes accurately to prep, cookplate food for events ranging from 20 to 150+ guests (weddings, corporate events, golf outings)
- Station Management:Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation in compliance with health department standards
- Teamwork:Coordinate closely with front-of-house staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth food timing and presentation
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of experience as a line cook, prep cook, or catering/banquet cook
- Ability to pivot quickly between short-order cooking and bulk event prep
- Strong knife skills and understanding of various cooking techniques (smoking, grilling, roasting, braising)
- Reliable transportation to our Hamilton County location
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
