Lighting Quotes Specialist
About the Role
The Lighting Quotations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting our purpose to create lasting value by assisting the Lighting Team and customers. This position is responsible for providing pricing from various vendors for new quotes, existing projects, and opportunities from the outside sales team. The successful candidate will create lighting Bills of Material from blueprints or collaborate with customers to suggest lighting products for design-build projects. The role is seen as a champion for company culture, our 5 P’s, and our purpose.
Responsibilities
- Prepare take-offs for lighting bills of material from blueprints or specifications.
- Assist customers with lighting product selection and application.
- Negotiate pricing with lighting manufacturers and customers.
- Prepare submittals for approval and O&M manuals using Adobe.
- Provide lead-times for quotations and assist with customer service as needed.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.

Requirements
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe is essential.
- Knowledge of Eclipse is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills via phone, email, and in person.
- Knowledge and experience with lighting products and distribution is preferred.

Pay
Several factors are considered in making compensation decisions at Van Meter, including but not limited to education, skill sets, work experience, training, and business or organizational needs. Compensation may be below the lower end of the range when minimum requirements are not met, while the higher end is reserved for candidates with extensive experience and qualifications exceeding role requirements.
