Lighting Intern
About the role
The Lighting Intern will perform or assist in typical responsibilities assigned to Lighting Application Specialists. The intern will work closely with an assigned mentor and report directly to the Lighting Manager assigned to them, and will become familiar with other duties associated with project development and implementation.
Responsibilities
- 50% Lighting Audit Support – assist senior engineers with on-site facility walkthroughs to inventory existing lighting systems and document field conditions.
- 35% Lighting Construction Support – provide on-site support during the construction phase to ensure lighting installations align with design specifications and safety standards.
- 10% Special projects – TBD, such as developing a revised audit analysis spreadsheet template or a calculator.
- 5% Administrative tasks – such as time sheets, team meetings, etc.
Requirements
Your Background Includes:
- Going into junior or senior level standing at an accredited institution studying some form of engineering, business, law, finance, math, or related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Good work ethic.
- Communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- At least 10 consecutive weeks of uninterrupted availability to work 40 hours a week.
- Substantial interest in one of ESG's fields - sustainability, lighting systems, utility expense reduction, renewables (solar, landfill gas, etc.).

Pay
Details on pay will be provided upon successful completion of the internship and negotiation of terms with the mentor.
Schedule
The Lighting Intern will work 40 hours per week, with flexibility around start dates and duration based on mutual agreement with the mentor.
