Lighting Designer/Engineer Intern/Co-op Fall 2026 - Energy Solutions
About the role
CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Lighting Co-op to join our dynamic team. As part of our Energy Solutions division, the ideal candidate will assist in all aspects of the project development phase, including site visits, building audits, and energy calculations related to lighting upgrades. This position offers hands-on experience in designing and implementing LED lighting upgrades, working closely with lighting project managers.
Job Functions
- Aid in project development phases
- Conduct site visits and building audits
- Perform energy calculations related to lighting upgrades
- Create detailed construction documents using CAD for LED lighting upgrades
- Support material procurement and construction management staff during implementation
- Field verify proper installation and implementation of LED lighting upgrades
Requirements
- Pursuing a BSEE, preferably a sophomore (2nd year) or junior (3rd year)
- CAD experience is helpful but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Ability to travel for field work
