Lifecycle Marketing and Automation Manage
About the role
The Digital Process & Automation Manager is the in-house “efficiency engine” for The Training Center. The Training Center is a New Jersey-based leader in career development for skilled trades. We deliver board-approved licensing programs, online certifications, and exam-prep courses for HVAC, boiler operation, pool operations, and more—serving thousands of working professionals each year through a blend of high tech in-person lab and a digital platform.
Responsibilities
Document/Audit current-state workflows for each program (HVAC certifications, licensing, career programs, pool operator, etc.). Identify bottlenecks, redundant manual steps, and any inefficient gaps.
Implement low-code automations for self service, API connections, and AI-powered tools that:
- sync VOIP, chat, and email data with the CRM;
- trigger student nudges based on progress;
- surface chat-bot FAQs to cut repetitive inquiries.
Train the five administrators on new workflows; create checklists or quick-reference guides.
Act as a resource for issues that are escalation for technical issues.
Liaise with CRM/LMS provider and other SaaS vendors. Translate business needs into clear technical tickets; manage backlog and acceptance testing.
Build dashboards that monitor student progress, administrative communication volume, email conversion, student drop-off points. Run A/B experiments on communications.
Support routine operational tasks as required.
Qualifications
5–8 years in business systems or process-automation roles, with at least 2 years owning cross-functional projects end-to-end.
Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field (MBA/MS a plus).
Proven command of CRM/LMS administration, API/webhook integrations, and low-code automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, Tray.io, Workato).
Solid grasp of Lean/Six Sigma or BPMN for process mapping; comfortable whiteboarding with teammates.
SQL or BI tooling for building real-time operational dashboards; familiarity with prompt-engineering or small LLM deployments is a plus.
Track record of training and change-management for non-technical staff.
Strong communication, vendor-management, and “roll-up-your-sleeves” problem-solving mindset.
