About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager based in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to own and scale a customer lifecycle marketing strategy within a fast-growing, remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing program, developing customer communication strategies and executing campaigns across email and SMS channels.
- Develop and manage the overall lifecycle marketing strategy, including campaign calendars, customer journeys, retention initiatives, and engagement programs.
- Create and manage automated lifecycle flows such as welcome journeys, onboarding sequences, appointment reminders, follow-ups, reactivation campaigns, subscription communications, and referral programs.
- Build customer-centric messaging and mobile-first email experiences while ensuring strong brand alignment, accessibility, and deliverability standards.
- Conduct ongoing testing and optimization of messaging, timing, offers, creative elements, and segmentation strategies.
- Analyze lifecycle performance metrics including bookings, retention, engagement, attributed revenue, conversion rates, and deliverability.
- Develop reporting frameworks and provide actionable recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Manage and maintain lifecycle marketing platforms, customer data, integrations, event tracking, dynamic lists, and segmentation structures.
- Ensure compliance with email and SMS marketing regulations, including industry best practices related to privacy, consent, and deliverability.
- Maintain strong quality assurance processes before campaign launches to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and optimizing automated customer journeys.
- Strong technical knowledge of marketing automation platforms, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing email and SMS marketing programs, preferably using Klaviyo or similar lifecycle marketing platforms.
- Proven experience designing, launching, and optimizing automated lifecycle campaigns and customer retention programs.
- Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing principles, customer segmentation, behavioral targeting, and retention strategies.
- Experience creating responsive, conversion-focused email campaigns with attention to user experience and deliverability.
- Ability to analyze campaign performance data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills with the ability to create engaging customer-focused messaging.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to rigorous testing and quality assurance.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience with subscription-based, recurring revenue, or service-based businesses is preferred.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies, experimentation frameworks, and performance optimization practices is a plus.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email customization is beneficial.
- Fluent written and spoken English skills are required.
- Availability to work with significant overlap during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
