About the role
As a Life Enrichment Manager at Heritage Community of Kalamazoo, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents through organized activities, social events, and community engagement programs.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive program of activities to meet the diverse interests and needs of residents.
- Plan and coordinate special events, including holiday celebrations, cultural festivals, and educational workshops.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall community goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities and events, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers who contribute to the enrichment programs.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related field such as gerontology, social work, or a similar discipline.
- At least three years of experience in a senior living environment or related field.
- Proven ability to plan and execute engaging activities that promote resident well-being and satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, and volunteers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
