Life Enhancement Coordinator (LEC)

About the role

We are seeking a Life Enhancement Coordinator to join our team at Highgate Senior Living. This position involves creating and implementing engaging programs for our residents, focusing on physical exercise, socialization, spiritual fulfillment, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a diverse program for seniors at varying cognitive and physical ability levels.
• Develop innovative activities that encourage residents to learn new things and engage in creative pursuits.
• Promote a wellness program that includes physical exercise, mindfulness, and opportunities for residents to give back.
• Build and motivate a team that functions well and supports the overall program.
• Assume responsibility for the budgets, both labor and supplies, and manage the team's workload effectively.
• Facilitate groups and understand group dynamics, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure everyone feels valued and supported.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service, event planning, or groups
• Current negative TB test
• Criminal record/background check
• Valid driver’s license with a qualifying driver abstract
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work independently with little oversight
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• A desire to have fun, interact with others frequently, and lead groups

Pay

The starting hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
