Pay: $8,140.00 - $10,116.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct the activities of a regional office responsible for evaluating and licensing community care facilities and enforcing community care regulations.
- Develop policies and procedures to facilitate the effective operation of the Community Care Licensing (CCL) program.
- Act as the Division representative with other agencies, recruit and hire new staff, meet with facility representatives, and recommend administrative actions against noncompliant licensees.
- Support the office in maintaining CCLD Policies and Procedures.
- Develop, train, and implement new inspection and technical assistance tools for licensees of Children's Residential facilities to ensure consistent application across the division.
- Act as a subject matter expert by designing a comprehensive training program and providing technical assistance to Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) on new inspection tools.
- Represent the regional office to community organizations, including media contacts, public officials, and provider groups.
- Engage with stakeholders and the legislature for consultation.
Failure to manage regional resources may result in poor quality of care in licensed facilities, failure to close hazardous facilities, and potential liability for the Department. The client population may be at risk of abuse, neglect, injury, or death.
Requirements
- Strong background and experience in licensing programs.
- Sensitivity to administrative issues and understanding of how to use licensing resources.
- Subject to fingerprinting and a background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (to be provided during the interview process).
- Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, climbing stairs, sitting for extended periods, and using a computer and keyboard. Must be able to take a laptop and printer to the field.
