Licensing & Contracting
The Signal Licensing & Contracting Team is one of the first points of contact an Advisor and their firm will have with Signal, setting the tone for the level of service they can expect. As a Licensing & Contracting Specialist, you will be the primary point person for Advisors as they get licensed in new states and contracted with various carriers through our platform. You will act as the vital link between insurance carriers, advisors, and internal teams to make the onboarding process as seamless and efficient as possible.
- Onboard & Data Integrity: Onboard new agents to Signal and manage precise data entry into systems used to contract agents with insurance carriers.
- Contract Management: Proactively follow up on contract submissions to ensure paperwork is processed accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Advisor Support: Act as a subject matter expert, answering emails and phone calls from Advisors and internal departments regarding all things L&C.
- Industry Vigilance: Keep a pulse on ever-changing industry requirements and proactively notify Advisors of changes that may impact their business.
- Process Improvement: Identify "inches" where we can streamline the handoff between advisors and carriers to reduce friction.
- Intentional Communicator: You thoughtfully listen to and distill information into clear, digestible updates for a remote-first team.
- Process-Driven: You "geek out" on workflows and are meticulous enough for quality output without succumbing to indecision.
- Accountable: You grab the "jump ball" and see it through to the finish line, thriving in a culture of continuous feedback.
- Customer Centric: You view every interaction as an opportunity to amaze the client, leading with compassion and anticipation.
- Extreme Ownership: You embody "We are the they," taking proactive steps to fix issues rather than waiting for others.
- Insurance Industry Experience: Direct knowledge of the insurance landscape is required.
- L&C Expertise: Previous experience managing licensing, contracting, or appointment processes for insurance agents.
- Tech Savvy: Professional experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and agency management platforms (e.g., SureLC).
- Attention to Detail: A "measure twice, cut once" approach to complex regulatory paperwork and digital workflows.
