Licensed Veterinary Technician - LVT - Missouri City, Texas

About the role

Lake Olympia Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support our 6-Doctor practice. The ideal candidate will work four 10-hour shifts per week and rotate Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Talk to clients and educate them about the health and wellbeing of their pets
• Perform routine medical procedures under the supervision of veterinarians
• Assist with surgeries and other clinical tasks
• Administer medications and treatments
• Record patient information accurately
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing inventory

Requirements

• Current LVT license in Texas
• Experience in veterinary medicine
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about animal care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced veterinary environment
• Knowledge of veterinary pharmacology and anatomy

Pay

The pay range is $19-$24/hour, with an additional up to $1500 sign-on bonus for active LVT license in Texas.

Schedule

FT techs typically work four 10-hour shifts a week and rotate Saturdays.
