Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

About the role

Friendship Veterinary Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join their growing team. The practice offers general practice services, urgent care, and seamless referrals to 24/7 Hospitalization/ER services within their clinic system.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and professional care to patients under the supervision of veterinarians.
• Assist in routine and specialized medical procedures, including but not limited to vaccinations, blood draws, and administering medications.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to veterinarians.
• Prepare and maintain medical records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with other veterinary staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Train and assist at sister facilities based on hospital scheduling needs.

Requirements

• A current license as a Veterinary Technician in the state of [State]
• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
