Responsibilities
- Work with board-certified veterinary radiologists and residents to teach image acquisition and quality control to DVM students.
- Achieve high-quality radiographs on a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, and exotic pets.
- Develop technical skills in non-radiographic modalities such as nuclear medicine, CT, and MRI as your veterinary radiography skills evolve.
- Manage PACS for a busy caseload, including ultrasounds, CT scans, MRI, nuclear medicine scans, and I-131 cats.
- Collaborate with biomedical engineers to maintain and replace diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Shape the future of veterinary care and education through collaboration with other specialty services.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA accredited program or an associate degree and ARRT certification with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- NYS licensure or eligibility to be licensed required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and restraining animals up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to handle large animals like horses, cows, pigs, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
LVT/RT with horse or cow handling experience highly desirable.

- Onsite position in Ithaca, NY.

- The majority of teaching and routine care occurs during the day.
- Other hours may be required, including weekends and holidays.
