Licensed Transportation Engineer - Bridge
About the role
We are looking for a motivated mid-to-senior level structural engineer to join our bridge and roadway team in either Fayetteville or Little Rock, AR. Our bridge group works on a wide range of projects including bridge and retaining walls, dams, storm and traffic structures, inspections, rehabilitations, load ratings, and assisting with construction engineering services. We facilitate designs on transportation projects that include grade separations, interchanges, and stream crossings for public and private clients throughout the Midwest.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with roadway, traffic, geotechnical, and stormwater engineers on projects that make a positive impact in our community
- Manage projects from concept through construction, making decisions on engineering problems and selecting the appropriate structural solutions that are cost-effective and constructible
- Work with a multi-disciplined team of engineers and technicians
- Get involved with project management, marketing, proposals, client development, and mentoring technical staff
- Occasional travel for site visits or inspection work may occur
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis or a closely related field
- A master’s degree, or currently pursuing one, is a plus
- Proficiency with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design
- Familiarity with bridge analysis and design programs (LARSA, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, Lpile, SPColumn, MDX)
- Skilled in designing prestressed concrete and steel bridges
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) or able to become licensed in 6 months
- Knowledge of ArDOT/KDOT/MoDOT Bridge Projects, preferred
- Proficient in MicroStation
