BRIDGE ENGINEER – PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER | TRANSPORTATION

About the Role

Full-time, salaried, and exempt position focused on engineering analysis, design, and plan production for transportation and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis, design, and plan production for structural projects, including transportation-related structures and stormwater/wastewater infrastructure.
• Perform engineering analysis, design, and plan production for transportation engineering projects, including roadways, highways, drainage, erosion control, and traffic control.
• Create job specifications and contract documents for bidding purposes.
• Calculate quantities and construction cost estimates.
• Deliver project outcomes as outlined in the project scope, within budget and on schedule.
• Lead the project team in the quality control process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer certification required.
• At least 5 years of experience in structural bridge design.

Skills

• Knowledge of structural design software (such as LEAP Bridge), MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of design standards, including AASHTO, MUTCD, and APWA.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
