Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Part-Time | Cambridge Village of Wilmington | Wilmington, NC Communication. Cognition. Connection. We're looking for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Cambridge Village of Wilmington. This is an opportunity for an SLP who wants the flexibility of a part-time role without sacrificing clinical quality or connection to the people they serve. Your work will matter beyond the therapy session. You may work with a resident who is having difficulty finding words. Someone whose cognition has changed. Someone who is struggling to safely manage meals. Someone who has become less confident communicating with friends. Someone whose cognitive changes are beginning to affect their independence. Your job isn't simply to treat the impairment. It's to help the person keep participating in life. What you'll do Evaluate residents and develop individualized plans of careProvide skilled speech-language pathology servicesAddress communication, cognition, swallowing, and related functional needs within your scope of practiceHelp residents maintain independence and participationProvide education to residents, families, and caregiversCollaborate with nursing, caregivers, wellness staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary teamIdentify changes in communication, cognition, or swallowing that warrant clinical attentionIncorporate functional, real-world activities into treatmentDocument efficiently using Prava's modern technology and AI-enabled toolsContribute to a culture that values clinical excellence and meaningful outcomes Senior living is your clinical laboratory. A therapy session doesn't have to look like a therapy session. It might happen at the dining table. During a conversation. While navigating a community activity. While practicing a real-world cognitive strategy. While helping a resident develop strategies to remain safely independent. The best intervention is often the one that transfers into everyday life. We're looking for an SLP who: Holds a current North Carolina SLP licenseHas ASHA certification or meets applicable requirementsHas a genuine interest in working with older adultsIs clinically confident and highly collaborativeHas strong communication and interpersonal skillsThinks beyond the diagnosisUnderstands the importance of functional outcomesCan work independently while staying connected to the interdisciplinary teamWants a flexible role with meaningful clinical impact Senior Living Experience Is a Plus, But Not Required.
