About the role

The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient-centered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at the UICC Coralville Oakdale Clinic. This position supports Family Medicine Clinics and may float to other specialties such as Pediatrics and Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Develops and implements nursing care plans for patients.
• In less complex situations, directs and supervises assigned nursing personnel.
• Assists with developing and implementing therapeutic programs for patients.
• May participate in the development of nursing care plans and therapeutic programs for patients.
• Assists with the coordination of patient care activities.
• Assists with the collection and analysis of patient data.
• Assists with the preparation of patient records.
• Assists with the administration of medications and treatments.
• Assists with the provision of patient education.
• Assists with the monitoring of patient progress.
