Licensed Practical Nurse - UI Health Care Tiffin Family Medicine Clinic 50 - 100%

About the role

The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient-centered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at the new UICC Tiffin Family Medicine Clinic. This position will primarily support Family Medicine Clinics but may also float to other specialties such as Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and implementation of therapeutic programs for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
• Current valid driver’s license and ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.
• Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
• Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous EPIC experience (highly desirable).
• Previous Family Medicine Clinic experience (within the past 2 years) (highly desirable).
• Availability to provide support to other clinical locations based on clinical needs/hours (highly desirable).
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and autonomy in all aspects of the role (highly desirable).
• Previous phlebotomy experience (desirable).
• Previous immunization experience (desirable).
• Previous OB experience (desirable).

• Salary range: $22,278.96 (at 50% time) - $66,377.52 (at 100% time) hourly: $21.34 - $31.79 (based on years of experience).

Percent of Time

50 - 100% (20 - 40 hours per week)

Schedule

Variable hours Monday - Friday between 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. No on call time, weekends, or holidays required.
