Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals, performing basic nursing tasks, administering medications, injections, IV therapy, and routine tests. They collect patient data, prepare and maintain records, and communicate health information to patients and families. The role involves participating in team efforts to improve care outcomes, ensuring compliance with standards, laws, and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Valid LPN/LVN license from the state.
  • Current BLS or ACLS certification.
  • Preferred: 1+ year clinical or specialty clinic experience; additional certifications and IV skills may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine nursing procedures, monitor patient responses, and document care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Maintain professionalism, sound judgment, and a caring attitude.
  • Operate medical equipment and technology accurately, with manual dexterity and physical stamina to assist with patient transfers and equipment movement.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, with regular attendance on site.

Schedule

Flexible hours (full-time, part-time, PRN).
