Captures patient care in a physician's clinic, ensuring comfort and adherence to protocols.

• Coordinates patient care
• Provides patient-focused care
• Places patients in examining rooms
• Ensures patient comfort
• Performs patient intake entry
• Obtains vital signs
• Documents patient information
• Affixes patients to examining tables
• Assists physicians with examinations
• Performs treatments and office surgeries
• Performs phlebotomy and laboratory tests
• Screens telephone calls
• Takes accurate clinical messages
• Answers routine patient inquiries
• Performs triage duties
• Maintains exam room equipment
• Manages sterilization of non-disposable instruments
• Maintains appropriate logs
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations
• Handles medication and prescription questions
• Communicates insurance changes to providers and patients
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines
• Demonstrates appropriate use of PPE
• Performs hand hygiene according to policy
• Enforces safety regulations

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Uses computers, telephones, fax machines, copiers, stethoscopes, EKG machines, pulse oximeters, oxygen devices, wheelchairs, stretchers, scales, glucose monitors, and other patient care equipment
• Proficient in using these tools via on-the-job training and orientation

Education and Certifications

• Associate degree or equivalent specific to Licensed Practice Nurse preferred
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) required
