About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care on a neurology unit.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care under supervision or direction of a licensed RN
- Monitor patients with moderate to high acuity, including neurological assessments and managing complex conditions such as stroke, seizures, and traumatic brain injury
- Assist with mobility, fall prevention, medication management, and swallowing precautions
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and maintain patient rights and confidentiality
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent experience with successful licensure
- Current LPN license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- LPN-IV certification (or completion within specified timeframes)
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and moving patients
