About the Role
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Medical/Telemetry Unit. This is a day shift position, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with 36 scheduled weekly hours. An $8K sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Function under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing
- Demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge relative to the designated clinical practice setting in the delivery of direct patient care, adhering to the level of verified competency dictated by the site-specific program
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support and communicate effectively with other licensed independent practitioners (Physicians, NP, PA) in collaboration while providing care and treatment for patients, clinical support and teaching for patient and family members
- Adhere to the legal and ethical standards of nursing practice
- Manage responsibilities of workload with accuracy and provide excellence in customer service
- Perform testing, medication administration, and the implementation of nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care
- Serve as patient advocate in the prevention of illness or disease
- Provide care to acute and chronic care patients with a variety of comorbidities from the age of 18 years of age and up
Requirements
- LPN License in the state(s) of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- Trade School Graduate - Licensed Practical Nurse

- Previous hospital bedside experience preferred
