Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN, Varied Schedule

About the Role

Provides routine and standardized nursing care under physician supervision, assisting with examinations, procedures, and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Arrange diagnostic testing, referrals, and hospital admissions.
• Monitor and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
• Document vital signs, medical history, and patient encounters accurately.
• Call in prescriptions as per physician orders.
• Educate patients on health behaviors and self-care skills.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and instruments.
• Manage clinical phone calls, screening and forwarding as needed.
• Complete forms for insurance purposes and inform physicians of schedule changes.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing or equivalent program.
• Current LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or state licensing authority.
• No prior experience required; ongoing education or licensure updates accepted.
• Ability to perform basic nursing duties and patient documentation.
