Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Night Shift

Responsibilities

  • Provides general nursing care as required.
  • Develops a therapeutic relationship with patients.
  • Distributes medication as prescribed and properly maintains the MARS.
  • Establishes and maintains professional contact with the patient’s physician and in planning the patient’s care.
  • Intervenes appropriately to de-escalate residents as needed.
  • Provides quality and excellent nursing care to assigned behavioral health children and adolescents.
  • Models and teaches appropriate life skills to the patients.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse License in the State of Alabama or eligible compact license.
  • Prefers one-year direct care experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Must be CPR Certified.
