Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Medical Telemetry

Role Overview

This position supports new graduate nurses in a Nurse Residency Program, focusing on developing nursing skills and knowledge through clinical training, professional development, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend core classes, workshops, and complete clinical competencies under supervision.
  • Participate in managing patient care, collecting data, and communicating with RNs.
  • Provide patient treatments, education, and advocacy while adhering to policies on patient rights, infection control, and safety.
  • Document care accurately, recognize emergencies, escalate issues, and implement cost-effective practices.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Completion of an accredited LPN program or recognized equivalency.
  • Current LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or in the state of employment.
  • Less than 12 months of LPN experience; candidates with more experience are ineligible.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, follow policies, and demonstrate a compassionate approach.

Non-management role reporting to a supervisor. Variable work shifts. Location in a medical telemetry department. The program offers hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing professional growth to support a successful nursing career.
