Role Overview
This position provides basic nursing care in a non-acute ambulatory setting under supervision, adhering to state regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care based on individualized plans, addressing physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, and facilitate diagnostic testing, referrals, and hospital admissions.
- Monitor and manage medical supplies and equipment functionality.
- Accurately document vital signs, medical history, and encounter data in patient records.
- Educate patients on health behaviors and self-care techniques.
- Prepare exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, and manage clinical communications.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed, following nursing protocols.
- Support team education, participate in meetings and compliance training, and promote a safe environment.
- Maintain professional development and may serve as a preceptor or team leader.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited LPN program or recognized program equivalency.
- Current LPN license recognized by the appropriate licensing board.
- Experience is not required; new graduates are welcome.
- Possession of a multistate LPN license is preferred.
