About the role

VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS) is an industry leader in Correctional Health Care and is currently seeking Full-Time, Part-Time Day Shift, Night Shift, and PRN Licensed Practical Nurses at Howard R. Young Correctional Center in Wilmington, DE.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses.
• Responsible for tasks, activities, and functions as delegated.
• Makes assignments of duties to others as defined in their state of practice act.
• Monitors patients as directed by the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Director of Nursing (DON), Registered Nurse (RN), or Medical Director or other practitioner.

Requirements

• Must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Delaware.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of correctional health care practices.

Pay

• Shift differential is included on evenings, nights, and weekends.
• PRN pay rate differs from Full/Part Time Employees.

Schedule

• Part-time Day Shift (must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training).
• Part-time & Full-time Night Shift (must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training).
• PRN (PRN must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training).
• PRN staff required to work 2 shifts per month. 12 Hour shifts (8a-8p) (8p-8a) Rotating Weekends.
• PRN rates differ from Full/Part Time Employees.
