Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care that is consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. The LPN is responsible for tasks, activities and functions as delegated and may make assignment of duties to others as defined in their state of practice act. The LPN provides monitoring of patients as directed by the HSA, DON, RN, or Medical Director or other practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality care consistent with the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses.
- Make assignments of duties to others as defined in their state of practice act.
- Maintain patient records and documentation as required.
- Monitor patients as directed by the HSA, DON, RN, or Medical Director or other practitioner.
Requirements
- Current Delaware Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience working in a correctional facility preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a licensed practical/vocational nursing program.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.

Pay
- Shift differential is included on evenings, nights, and weekends.
- PRN payrate differs from Full/Part Time Employees.
Schedule
- Part-time Day Shift (must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training).
- Part-time & Full-time Night Shift (must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training).
- PRN (PRN must be available for at least 3-6 weeks for onsite training).
- PRN staff required to work 2 shifts per month. 12 Hour shifts (8a-8p) (8p-8a) Rotating Weekends.
